Churches in Gateshead

Being down in Beggarswood meeting all aspects of people that have been part of our life in some way through the years made me think about what it means to be a local church. We're of course firmly rooted at the middle of the communities that we serve - All Saints in Lobley Hill and St Cuthbert's Marley

We're a family church seeking to care for people in the community and in so doing to win the correct to share with them our faith in Jesus Christ. Our church was established in 1963 and is at the middle of the Beacon Lough Estate, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. We currently have always enjoyed a reputation

Gateshead was once the dwelling place of holy religious, for the Venerable Bede, in his Ecclesiastical History, mentions a certain Utta, as the illustrious abbot of the Monastery of Gateshead. This Monastery, with all its influence in the neighborhood, was in existence until the dissolution of the monasteries.
