Recycling Un
read moreHope you are well. I am looking at tendering for a contract with Hull City council and need a couple of references regarding previous contract delivery, so wondered if you could provide one for us please? I understand that Recycling Unlimited has had a couple with Hull CVS in the past.
What We Do
read moreWe are an independent charity supporting people who feel excluded from their local communities because of mental health problems or other barriers to social inclusion. We also provide life skill support through group sessions including confidence building and mental health awareness training. The work activities and training we provide helps recovery from mental health problems through putting routine in place, making people feel valued and part of a team producing real products. By providing a supportive work based environment for the development of experience and training, we empower people to improve their quality of life through building self confidence, facilitating social interaction in a non threatening situation and teaching practical skills so enhancing people's employability.
One-off Donation
read moreOur charity has the aim of supporting people facing social exclusion through mental health problems, physical health problems or because of their ethnicity. Around 80% of our costs are met through the sale of the garden furniture we manufacture at our woodwork shop and sales of donated items. Please help us by making a donation. If you're a UK tax payer you can Gift Aid your donations, making them worth 25 per cent more to us, at no extra cost to you! We can claim back the tax you have paid on your donation (25p for every 1 you donate) through Gift Aid.
Leaving A Legacy
read moreThinking about reaching the end of life is not easy. Sadly we all pass on, but you could make a lasting difference to people struggling to overcome barriers of disability and social exclusion, people not feeling a sense of belonging to their community because of these barriers. This could be given on important anniversaries or, as is happening more and more nowadays, making a contribution instead of buying funeral flowers. A legacy of any size really makes a difference in our ability to help people facing barriers to social inclusion in Hull and surrounding areas, particularly those with mental health problems.
Funders and Sponsors
read moreAs an organisation, we generate most of our income from selling the items of garden furniture we produce, supplemented by the sale of the donated items in our shops. However, we could not manage without the incredible generosity and support of grant making trusts and businesses.
Garden Furniture
read moreAlthough we are not working face to face with our clients (service users) until the situation eases, we do have all items in stock and we can arrange to be at the workshop for any item to be collected. Payment by bank transfer is preferred if possible please, although we will accept cash. Your business is very much appreciated during these testing times as the charity needs to maintain income to carry on supporting people struggling with mental health issues when this situation passes. Recycling Unlimited is not only our name, it also summarises what we are all about - avoiding waste, in materials as well as people.
Support us
read moreWe are a registered charity dedicated to providing support to people with mental health problems, as well as those people who are marginalised because of disability or other factors. Arount 80% of our income comes from the sale of garden furniture we produce at our joinery workshop, or from the sale of donated goods including furniture and household goods. We also provide training for people but we do rely on donations from people and every penny can help us to build on the services we provide and subsequently increase the number of people we support.
Work for us
read moreWe support people with mental health issues through supervised voluntary work, but we also rely heavily on other volunteers who perform key tasks for us. Our volunteer drivers collect donated furniture and other items and deliver sold items helped by our drivers' mate volunteers. Whatever your background and experience, chances are that we have a volunteering opportunity for you. For more information on how we can help you.
