Services
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapy service specialises in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries through evidence-based techniques. We address conditions arising from sports, work, or daily activities using manual therapy, exercise prescription, and advanced rehabilitation methods. Each treatment plan is tailored to individual needs, combining joint manipulation, acupuncture, and targeted exercises to restore pain-free function and prevent recurrence.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Specialised treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction addresses continence issues, pelvic pain, and post-natal recovery. Our specialist uses manual techniques and targeted exercises to treat conditions affecting both men and women, including post-prostate surgery complications and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal issues. The service provides confidential consultations and personalised rehabilitation programmes to improve quality of life.
Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy treats chronic tendon injuries using high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing. This non-invasive treatment addresses conditions like plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow, with 60-80% success rates after three sessions. Combined with exercise programmes, it offers an alternative to surgery for persistent musculoskeletal issues affecting mobility and daily function.
Sports Massage
Deep tissue sports massage targets muscle tension and adhesions to enhance recovery and performance. This therapy combines stretching techniques with deep pressure to improve circulation, reduce injury risk, and maintain muscular efficiency. Particularly beneficial for active individuals, it addresses overuse injuries and supports training regimens through targeted soft tissue manipulation.
Video Consultations
Virtual consultations provide expert assessment and advice from home using secure video technology. While limited in physical examination, these sessions offer diagnostic guidance, self-management strategies, and exercise prescriptions. Ideal for initial assessments or follow-ups, they maintain continuity of care with the convenience of remote access and specialist therapist input.

Last time I hobbled to see David in his injury clinic, he assessed the problem very quickly, applied a couple of quick fixes and gave me some stretching exercises to keep everything in order. When I remember to do the stretching, my back feels as good as ever. How could this service be improved any further? Free tea and cake on arrival would be lovely!

I've had two physio sessions with David and highly recommend. Went in with pain that I'd had for several months, and after just one visit this was severely reduced. Very friendly and talks you through the treatment so you understand the problem. Won't hesitate to use Halton Physio again in the future.
