Welcome to Gloucester Community Church
We are Gloucester Community Church, a welcoming and inclusive church family rooted in Gloucester's heart. Our mission is to foster authentic relationships with God and one another while embracing diversity in age, background, and spiritual journey. Through Sunday celebrations, intergenerational activities, and community outreach, we aim to share Jesus' transformative message through generous words and actions. Our church operates under three key teams: Leadership, Trustees, and Staff, each contributing unique skills to maintain our spiritual and operational integrity. With safeguarding as a priority, we ensure safe environments for all, particularly children and vulnerable adults, through DBS-checked volunteers and comprehensive policies. Our weekly programme includes Sunday morning gatherings at St Luke's, discipleship groups across the city, and specialised activities for children, youth, and families. We actively engage with local initiatives like the Gloucester Christians Against Poverty centre and maintain affiliations with the Synergy church network and Evangelical Alliance.

Services
Sunday Worship Services
Our weekly Sunday celebrations begin with refreshments at 10:30am followed by worship at 11:00am. These gatherings include contemporary worship music, Bible-based teachings, and prayer. The service lasts 75-90 minutes with age-appropriate groups for children and youth. During building works, we adapt our format while maintaining core elements of worship and community.
Children's Ministry
We offer structured programmes for children from pre-school to Year 7. These include Bible stories, crafts, games, and prayer activities tailored to different age groups. Our 'Tiny Toes' baby group (0-18 months) and 'Little Stars' toddler group (0-4 years) provide parent support with suggested 1 donations per family during term time.
Youth Groups
Our youth programme combines Sunday morning integration with adults and Friday evening sessions. These alternate between structured group discussions exploring real-life questions and energetic outdoor hangouts. Activities cater to Year 7+ students with opportunities for service and spiritual exploration.
Discipleship Programmes
Fortnightly groups across Gloucester explore faith applications in daily life. Meeting Monday-Wednesday evenings, these sessions focus on relationship-building and spiritual growth. All attendees are encouraged to join these groups for deeper community connection and Bible study beyond Sunday services.
Community Outreach
We engage in practical community support through partnerships with Gloucester Foodbank, CAP UK, and local initiatives. Our outreach includes seasonal events, craft mornings, and walking church activities that connect with non-churchgoers and support vulnerable populations across Gloucester.
