Trucks of GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) over 3.5 tonnes registered in the European Union since the beginning of April, must be equipped with a panoramic mirrors (class IV) and curb (Class V) which provides the driver with a wider field of view. New provisions have been introduced to reduce the number of accidents caused by trucks when turning on the outer lane or lane change.

New provisions have been introduced to reduce the number of accidents caused by trucks when turning on the outer lane or lane change.
The rules apply to all vehicles intended for commercial purposes registered for the first time after 31 December 1999. In some cases, simply replacing the inserts in the mirrors, in others it is necessary to mount new ones. These must be the mirror of the so-called blind spot angle (mirror having a radius of curvature of 400mm). These are exchanged panoramic mirrors (left and right) and the curb mirror mounted on the right-hand side glass door cab.
