The liturgy in our celebration of the Mass on Sundays reflects the Anglo Catholic traditional ceremonial. On Tuesdays we celebrate Holy Communion using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Mass is celebrated on Fridays, and on certain other feast days. The service of Benediction takes place, monthly, on Thursday evenings, and the Walsingham Cell celebrates Mass, monthly, on Saturdays. Worship at St Chad's is in the Anglo Catholic tradition, and we're under the pastoral care of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

Baptisms
read moreWe regularly hold services of baptism at St Chad's and would be delighted to baptise your child here, and join you in thanking God for the birth of your child. In the service of baptism, we are asking God to make the child a member of the church through the sacrament of baptism. The words in the baptism service are few and easily said. If you ask for your child to be baptised, it is your choice to bring up your child as a Christian, within the family of the Church. If you do not live within the parish (which many people do not given that we are a town centre church!) or do not normally worship here, we cannot baptize your child without the permission of the priest of your own parish.
