Shrewsbury Castle

Shrewsbury (the birthplace of Charles Darwin) is the County Town of Shropshire in the West Midlands of England, less than 10 miles from the border with Wales. As of first April 2009, Shrewsbury Museums joined the present Shropshire County Museums Service to form Shropshire Museums, within the new Unitary Authority, Shropshire Council. This offers new opportunities for cross-county working and a context for the planned development of the Music Hall, Shrewsbury, as Shropshire's main county museum and visitor centre.
