Medical Center in Dundee, Scotland
Medical Center in Dundee, Scotland In 1970, 5 G. P.s who were in practice in the West End of Dundee came together to form the 1st Group Practice in the city, converting premises for this purpose in South Tay Street, the street in which doctors had traditionally lived and practiced since the last century. On the first of April 2002, the 2 practices within the Centre combined to form one practice known as The Nethergate Medical Centre. It is an electronic record which contains information about the medicines you take, allergies you suffer from and any bad reactions to medicines you have had. Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you.
