About Us
read moreOur story started in West Lothian in 1952. In 1993, after 41 years as a mixed animal practice, we decided to specialise in treating domestic pets only, and since then we have focused only on small animals, developing breath and depth of experience. We have built a strong veterinary team and invested in our facilities with the aim of being the best small animal practice around and are delighted that our clients think we are! We are a RCVS Accredited Practice and an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. We are humbled and honoured to have been voted "Best Scottish Vet" in 2018, 2019 and 2020 based on independent client reviews.

Dog & Cat Laser Therapy in West
read moreClass IV lasers are the highest class of medical laser and are used in both human and veterinary medicine to treat a wide range of conditions. They emit infrared wavelengths of energy which can be adjusted to target difference depths of tissue. When they are absorbed by cells, they increase the energy inside them, which results in reduced inflammation, reduced nerve perception of pain and an increase in local blood flow which speeds healing. Laser therapy is a safe, drug free treatment which is comfortable and non-invasive for your pet to receive.
Vaccines
read moreWe've put together a complete guide to vaccinations to help answer any questions you may have, including those about the risks vs benefit of any vaccine. To discuss your pet's tailored vaccination program please book an appointment with one of our veterinary surgeons. Social media can rapidly spread misinformation and people often quote "evidence" without understanding where it came from, or what it actually means. It is all too easy to read information and come to the wrong conclusions. The source of the information is important to consider.
