Medical Center in Northampton, Northamptonshire
Medical Center in Northampton, Northamptonshire In the 1970's Northampton underwent a huge expansion under the direction of the Northampton Development Corporation. The most of the growth was centred on the Eastern side of the town and as well as schools, shops and pubs new surgeries were planned. Initially, medical care was provided from two houses offered by the Development Corporation. In 1986 the partners decided that they could give better care from purpose built premises and the current surgery was built.

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. For more information, please contact reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence) and something with your address on like a bank statement but not a gas or electric bill.
About Us
read moreThe more you know about your pregnancy and your options, the more you are likely to feel in control. The information given here is based on The Pregnancy Book, which your midwife should give you at your first appointment. Here's a checklist of the vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them. Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control.

Services are provided according to a contract between Dr Byrne and partners and Northamptonshire Teaching Primary Care Trust and will depend on the terms of that contract. There may be variations from time to time if the contract alters. Our procedure for re-issuing Medical Certificates works in the same way as repeat prescriptions, i.e. it will take 2 working days from receiving a request to the issue of a certificate.

The doctors will issue a medical certificate to some one if they are unfit for work or cannot do their normal work. Repeat MED3 forms will not be issued in advance. If you are unable to work through illness for less than 7 days your employer should accept a self certification form. The practice considers aggressive behaviour to be any personal, abusive and/or aggressive comments, cursing and/or swearing, physical contact and/or aggressive gestures.

Most of the patients who are offered a choice of hospital view the experience as positive and valuable. So, the NHS is changing to give you more choice and flexibility in how you are treated. Choose and Book is one of the first schemes that brings about this change, allowing you to choose from a range of hospitals as well as choose a convenient date and time for your first outpatient appointment to see a specialist.

It is important that we, the NHS, can use this information to plan and improve services for all patients. This will allow us to compare the care you received in one area against the care you received in another, so we can see what has worked best. Information such as your postcode and NHS number, but not your name, will be used to link your records in a secure system, so your identity is protected.

When you register as a carer with us we will automatically refer you to Northamptonshire Carers who can offer all sorts of help and support. Some of the ways in which they do this are outlined below. Caring responsibilities can make it difficult to maintain friendships or develop new ones. Telling your friends you're a carer is important so they understand and can support you.

There are currently three different surveys (which change each month) each of which is looking at a different area of our service. We will be publishing the results of the surveys on the website and in the surgery in the new year. We also wish to set up a patient participation group which will be asked to consider our future plans for service improvement, based on the survey results, and make comments so that we can try and meet our patients needs.
