| John Ashton lives and works in the tiny South Hams village of Aveton Gifford on the pretty estuary of the River Avon. Born in Somerset, he worked mainly as a lighting roadie for several of the world's major bands. In 1985 he moved to Modbury in South Devon. Since then he has been a successful artist taking on many commissions including murals, sign writing and pub signs.
