The Sands Centre, Cumbria and South West Scotland's premier venue for sport and entertainment. Built in 1984 the centre caters to over 735, 000 clients per year and plays host to international orchestras, theatre firms, opera and ballet, international recording artistes and comedians. The centre supplies a diverse array of sports, recreation and health & fitness activities as well as the LifeStyle Centre, a state of the art fitness facility. Clients vary from two to ninety two and there is usually an activity for everyone.
