About Us
read moreThe Brighton Natural Health Centre (BNHC) is a registered charity founded by Infinity Foods in 1981. At our centre in the North Laine we offer a wide variety of activities to support physical and mental health and wellbeing. We try to run classes that are accessible for everyone. Our classes include yoga, meditation, Pilates, Tai Chi and lots more. We also arrange free community talks on human and planetary health and run a low cost/free to access range of classes, including classes for refugees.
Pilates
read moreOriginally named 'contrology', the Pilates method was created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. There is a real emphasis on increasing core strength, alignment and balance through both sides of the body. With focus on breath-work and repetition, Pilates will bring a sense of mental calm while better understanding your body. We offer Pilates classes for all levels including total beginners and we welcome those with back pain. Our highly experienced teachers will offer a range of modifications in the class to suit different levels of ability and different bodies.
Yoga
read moreA regular yoga 'asana' practice helps create strength, space and flexibility in the body. However, yoga is not about being super flexible or pushing the body to the end result, hence why we call it a 'practice'. It is much more about accepting the journey and bringing calm to the mind, grounding, and finding a sense of peace and well-being. As one of the oldest yoga studios in Brighton, we are proud to offer many different styles of yoga to suit all ages, body types and levels of experience including beginner.
