The Barbers Pole
Hair Salon in Aberdeen, Scotland
The Barbers Pole has been in Rosemount since 1992, a smallish shop that is a hive of industry, set just at the junction with Esslemont Avenue. It is the brainchild of Fiona Dawkins, who came to Aberdeen after many years at sea, working as a hairdresser. The main premise of the shop is a Walk-In service for men, with the average wait being no more than 12 minutes at any time. There is a television and papers for those who are waiting, and hairdressers are not set to rigid lunches and breaks, however those who would prefer to book can.
