The Academy Theatre

The Academy Theatre is a superb facility situated in Birdwell, Barnsley, less than 1 minute from Junction 36 of the M1 motorway. Officially opened on the eighteenth February 2004, this purpose built entertainment building houses 180 tiered seats, a state of the art lighting, sound and technical system and thus offers this and surrounding areas a varied program of top-class entertainment (both amateur and professional) and will be used as a performace platform for the members of the theatre school.
