St Mary RC Church

St Mary's Parish dates back to the mid eighteenth Century with the present church of St Mary's, on Bridge Street, being opened on September 15th 1835 and consecrated on 24th September 1947. The church is at the city entrance by road and rail from Wearmouth Bridge and accessible from many bus routes.
