St Chad's is an Anglican (Church of England) church covering the S-W outskirts of Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. The parish serves the areas of Farringdon, Gilley Law/Lakeside and East & Middle Herrington. Our worship and parish life seek to include all ages. The main Sunday worship is the Parish Eucharist at 9. 30am. Babies and kids are welcomed in this service. There's a regular pattern of daily worship in the church and in different areas of the parish. The church is open every Wednesday from 9. 00am till 12 noon.

read moreSadly, we must now again close the church building for public worship. The rapid spread of the virus, the impact on the NHS, and the advice to minimise leaving homes makes this inevitable. The life of prayer and worship continues in St Chad's, without a congregation present, with Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer and the Holy Eucharist offered every day, for you all and for the world. Do join in at home with that life of prayer and worship, until we can come together in person again.
