Specsavers was established in 1984 by Doug and Mary Perkins, who began the business in their spare bedroom on a table-tennis table. The couple had moved to Guernsey after selling a tiny chain of West Country opticians. In the early 1980s the UK Government deregulated specialists, including opticians, allowing them to advertise their products and services for the 1st time.

Wonderful , was seen right on time, staff were very nice indeed, I had a really good experience, only have to wait one week for my glasses. Best of all got prescription sunglasses free. Got the hubby booked in the next day .

The manager Neda could not do enough to correct a poor experience with another vendor. Explained my experiences and was provided eye tests on the spot, arranged my transfer and kept true to all promises. A great manager makes a massive difference
