David graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in 1986 after four years of full time study. He became a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) in 1998 and was awarded the title of Fellow of the College of Chiropractors in 1999. He gained a Masters degree in Clinical Chiropractic through Portsmouth University in 2005.
