All proceeds to SRSB. On Saturday 19th July, Graham jumped out of a perfectly good aeroplane, strapped the front of a qualified parachutist, from 15,000 feet. After free falling for about a minute at speeds up to 120mph, he parachuted safely back to earth. Graham raised over 530 for SRSB. October 2013: OPEN YOUR EYES - Fundraiser for the Snowdrop Project!
History of The Red Deer pub
read moreJake Nickles took over the Red Deer in August 2010, having previously worked in pubs and clubs in London and the Midlands. Through a refurbishment and focusing on good customer service and an increasing selection of quality real ales from around the country and local independent breweries, he quickly re-established the pub's reputation as one of the gems of the City Centre scene. The Red Deer dates from 1825, although it has been much extended since. It originally comprised three small rooms with a central bar area.

Featuring Resident Performers - Jack Mann, Megan McCracken and Ciaron Elm - alongside some of Sheffield's finest established and emerging expressive talent. See BackChat for details. The usual format of a meeting is to warm up with some familiar tunes, then a new tune may be introduced and we will play through it several times until everyone is comfortable with it, then it's more playing until closing time. The meetings are not lessons exactly, more of a workshop, session and social evening rolled into one.
