Mike was very helpful from the outset and was able to advise on what would be achievable given our circumstances - older clients, self build and self employed - but was confident that he could find the right lender. Thanks for saving our self-build project! After spending over 8 months struggling with Buildstore we had to make the difficult decision to start the process again with a more responsive and personable broker. Despite having to conceed our Buildstore application and valuation fees (c1500) contacting Mayflower Finance was the best decision we made! Buildstore response time was min 72 hours (auto-response emails were set-up to remind us this each time we contacted them) Mayflower's response time was the same day, and often within a few hours.

This meant we got more done in a few days with MF then several months of email tennis with BS! During our initial free consultation MF advised us on the best lenders based on our bespoke needs and our project details and importantly reassured us that our project appeared to be 'business as usual' for their panel of lenders. BS claim to do this BUT DON'T The time wasted with Buildstore backed us into a corner financially but Mayflower managed to secure us a loan in JUST 2 WEEKS from start to finish allowing us to maintain positive cashflow and importantly continue building uninterrupted.

I couldn't recommend Mike highly enough. He was efficient, super responsive and made an extremely challenging mortgage process straightforward. We got a great outcome from the mortgage company and this was all down to Mike.

I cannot recommend Mayflower Mortgage and Finance highly enough. I bought a barn conversion after taking mortgage advice from another large brokerage, however when I went to take out the mortgage they then declined on a technicality, several other brokers also couldn't help. I was pretty desperate when I spoke to Mike, however he proceeded to find me a mortgage on very good rates when everyone else had failed!

The help and guidance through the complex application process really made it a whole lot easier. Mike and his colleague Marc have been outstanding, replying quickly to any query and supporting me through this stressful time, very glad I found them.
