Meet The Team
read moreAll of our team have responsible roles as dental assistants and receptionists as we like all of our team members to get to know patients on a one-to-one basis and be able to fulfil any role. David Jordan qualified from Queen's University Belfast Dental School in 1978. He worked for a year as a community clinical dental officer for the SHSSB (Southern Health and Social Services board) in Banbridge, before leaving to take up a position in general dental practice in Southampton. After a period in a dental practice in Romsey, Hampshire, he returned home to Belfast to set up his own dental practice in September 1983.
Veneers East Belfast
read moreA Veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. Sometimes a natural colour ‘composite' material is used instead of porcelain. Veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth. A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured tooth or to lighten the front teeth. A veneer can make a chipped tooth look intact again. The porcelain covers the whole of the front of the tooth with a thicker section replacing the broken part.
Dental Crowns East Belfast
read moreA crown can help strengthen a tooth with a large filling, when there isn't enough tooth remaining to hold the filling. Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that's already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discoloured or badly shaped. It's also used to fit onto a dental implant. There are ready-made stainless steel posts which the dentist can fit directly into the root canal; a custom-made post is made to accurately fit the shape of the prepared root canal.
Nervous Patients East Belfast
read moreIf you are nervous patient or have a dental phobia, well done you've made the first step. The team at Jordan Dental are highly trained to deal with patients who are anxious about having dental treatment and understand that overcoming your fear is stressful. At Jordan Dental we ensure that all of our patients are as relaxed and pain-free as possible during dental treatments. We are confident that we can get you on the right journey. In certain circumstances the best way to achieve this is by using a sedative to reduce anxiety and to help you relax while you receive your dental treatment.
Dermal Fillers East Belfast
read moreAreas around the nose and mouth are particularly prone to creasing as we get older. These areas can be softened by injecting a gel like product containing Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring product that "plumps up" the tissues and rejuvenates appearance. This is done after the application of a surface local anaesthetic. The effects can last 6-12 months depending on the amount and type of product used.
Dental Bridges East Belfast
read moreA bridge is a dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It extends across an area that has no teeth and is typically made up of an artificial porcelain tooth fused between 2 crowns. The bridge is held firmly in place by your own teeth on each side of the missing one(s) or by dental implants. Another type of bridge called an adhesive bridge has wings that your dentist bonds to the back of your supporting teeth. Ask your dentist which type is the best option for you. The dentist takes an impression of the prepared teeth with a putty-like material that is used to create a model of your teeth.
