Hull Sports Massage

Massage Therapist in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire
Massage Therapist in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire I 1st began massaging after completing a Personal Trainer Diploma in 1999. Sports Massage is a natural progression to follow on from Personal Training and having relished the academic rigor of re-training after my service as a Police Officer and being fascinated with how the Human Body works and responds, I found Sports Massage suited my thirst for knowledge admirably. It is odd how our lives eventually follow a specific path even though at the time one doesn't know exactly where one is going. I would never have thought after serving 15 years in the Army and then 10 years in the Police Service, I would have followed such a Holistic Life Path.

G5 Exercise and Injury Massage
read moreThe G5 is a gyratory massager which employs modern technology to enhance mechanical massage techniques. Most injuries repair with scar tissue (immature fibrocytes) if you continue training normally whilst injured you will break the scar tissue down as it is forming, this will then lead to the formation of more scar tissue so the injury will drag on. Fibrocytes are soft tissues which have become fibrous and possibly bound together, which in turn are easy to damage, meaning, the area is more prone to re-injure.
Kinesio Taping

Most musculoskeletal conditions are multifactorial in nature and the presence of pain can be a debilitating for the client, and a challenge to the therapists. The immediate response to pain and the tension/load created from the unique tape application provides an innovative analgesic effect for a prolonged period thereby creating comfort and ease and functionality. The method radically reduces recovery times and improves fitness levels no matter what activity.

Well, you are not alone; research shows that as many as 79% of runners get injured at least once during the year. Stop. Think about that number for a moment; nearly 8 out of every 10 runners you see at your next race have been or will be injured sometime that year. Think of running pains in terms of a spectrum. At one end you have severe, full-blown injuries, we'll name that the red zone, which includes stress fractures that require time off.
