Order of Service for the Baptism
read moreEVEN he that leadeth an uncorrupted life and doeth the thing which is right, and speaketh the truth from the heart. HE that promiseth his neighbour and disappointeth him not, though it were his own hindrance. HEAVENLY FATHER, we come together in a spirit of joy to link still more closely to Thy holy love one of Thy children. Take into Thy keeping the life of this thy servant that he/she, being dedicated to Thy service, may in all sincerity follow the way laid down by Jesus the Christ, and turn to those things that will release still more the Divine within him/her.
Order of Service for Holy Communion
read moreThat humility which indicates the Christ Mind to all, that laying aside of the paraphernalia of physical life; that Act of Remembrance has done more for the children of Earth, more than you will be able to grasp until many experiences out of the body have taken place. Yet, have you ever thought how Love must have suffered because it was so necessary that He should ask for the remembrance of His children? Have you ever thought how the great Father Heart of God is anguished because so few remember - so few are willing to remember Him in their daily life, even in their hour of need?
Order of Service for Holy Matrimony
read moreDear friends, we are gathered here in the sight of God and before this congregation, to join together this man and this woman in holy Matrimony. Marriage is an honourable estate, instituted by God and blessed by Christ, Who was a willing guest at the marriage in Cana of Galilee, where He performed His first miracle. It is right, therefore, that we bear in mind that marriage is the sacrament of human society, and is not by any to be taken in hand lightly or heedlessly, but reverently and with prayer to God, duly considering the causes for which Matrimony was ordained.
Order of Service for Mission Work
read moreWe are asked to sow the seed at morning, at noonday and when the shadows fall, and to leave the harvest in Higher Hands (Zodiac). This is the theme of the Service. HEAVENLY FATHER, we know that through Thy love all creeds and races of mankind are blended together into one great family to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. We pray Thee to strengthen the endeavours of all missionaries who go into other lands to bring the light of Thy Truth to those who are in the darkness of doubt. Grant that through the words they use, and the love in their hearts, they may be able to take to all men the beauty and the peace of Thy Son's teaching.
Order of Service for Spiritual
read moreThis order of Service is intended to assist those who are undertaking the work of Spiritual Healing. The object has been to provide a substantial and helpful guidance in the work, based on the revelation of Christ's Healing Ministry as given in the Gospels. It is not intended to be more than guidance; and it must be left to each one to decide what part or parts of this Service can most usefully be adopted. All healing is from God. It is not the means that are used which heal us. It is God Who heals us through the means; and God is ever opening up fresh ways of giving us greater spiritual freedom and health.
Preface
read moreIf we were suddenly asked to prepare ourselves to enter into the Presence of One Who is the Creator of all things, what would be our feelings? Would it not be with a deep sense of humility; would not our first desire be to offer Him thanks for all He has done for us? To-day the world needs more than ever a practical approach to Religion and a practical answer to questions about the After-Life, as well as evidence of the power of the Spirit to work and transform human life. If this power was able to change history through a handful of earnest men and women working with their Lord and Master nearly 2,o oo years ago, we can be certain that, given the same degree of sacrifice, similar miracles of Divine grace are just as possible in these times.
Order of Service for a Memorial
read moreDear friends, we are privileged to be here to commemorate the journey of our friend (and fellow worker) into the Spiritual World, and into those bright realms of peace and joy which God has prepared for those who love Him. We do not come here to bid him/her farewell but rather to express our love and understanding, and to congratulate him/her that he/she has now entered into a freer and fuller life, where he/she will be unimpeded by a physical body so prone to pain and weakness. We give thanks for the years of unselfish service, effort and courage, so evident to those who knew him/her; for the privilege of his/her companionship for so long; and we pray that we may benefit by his/her example, and follow the unselfish way taken by him/her with perfect faith in God.
Order of Service for Good Friday
read moreHow beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion: Thy God reigneth! Thy watchman shall lift up the voice; with the voice together they sing, for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion. Who hath believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For He shall grow up before Him a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground.
