We're open to anyone who wants to learn a higher standard of Martial Arts, both men & women are welcome as are kids over the age of 10, even if you have a disability, this system can be adapted to your need. Wing Chun doesn't put strength against strength but employs angles and sensitivity in order to over come aggression. A smaller or physically weaker person who is skilled in Wing Chun, can overcome an attack from a much stronger assailant. This makes Wing Chun perfect for Women's Self Defence. It is suitable for any age, and fitness level.

read moreOur own teacher the late Master Derek Jones studied both the modified system with Victor Kan, and the traditional system with Grandmaster William Cheung. Master Frank Roach and I (Master Mark Clark) have learnt both modified and traditional Wing Chun, we have chosen to teach the traditional art of Wing Chun and we have tested the art in real situations of danger. We are open to anyone who wants to learn a higher standard of martial arts, men, women and children over the age of 12, are welcome no matter what your fitness level.

read moreMyself and Frank both started training in the early seventies, under Instructor Peter Pete, in a run down building in Clacton. We worked our way through the modified system of wing chun, up to the instructors grade. When we had learnt all we could from Peter, he told us we should then train under master Derek Jones, which we did. We worked our way up through the traditional system, testing our art out in other clubs along the way. We were also the first students to undertake the 100 days iron palm training.
