I've been a practicing medical herbalist for over 22 years since qualifying as a Member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists after an in depth four year training. Through the years I have possibly treated about two thousand people. As well as being a consultant herbalist I have run short courses on herbal medicine in colleges, given many 100's of talks to any organisation who is interested, given radio interviews and written numerous articles several of which you can read on this website. I'm a part time lecturer at Lincoln University on the BSc (Hons) course in Herbal Medicine. I regularly open my practice for 'herb days' for anyone who wants to know more about herbs, identify them and how to use them for everyday ailments.

read moreI take a full case history, enquiring about your past medical history and well as the problem or problems which have brought you to me. These consultations initially last one to one and a half hours. Any physical examinations are carried out as appropriate e.g. Detailed information is sought concerning your diet and any appropriate amendments suggested. This is a very important part of the consultation to aid diagnoses and recovery. A repeat consultation takes between half to one hour and normally takes place monthly to monitor the treatment's progress.
