Pianokey

Pianokey has been providing expert piano tuning, repairs, and advisory services across Sussex and Surrey for over 40 years. As a small, well-established family business, we prioritise impartial advice and transparency, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions without unnecessary pressure. Our services include fine piano tuning starting at 125, repair work charged at 100 per hour, and comprehensive piano buying guides to assist both buyers and sellers. We offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends, and provide reminders for tuning schedules to maintain optimal piano condition. With a focus on integrity, we openly discuss whether repairs are cost-effective and avoid recommending work that does not add value.

Our expertise extends to assessing piano condition, construction, and viability, with detailed guidance on factors like string length, framing, and environmental impacts. We also facilitate piano sales by offering free advertising for private sellers and maintain a network of local piano teachers for client convenience. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our long-standing reputation, built through recommendations and repeat business. We ensure data privacy through secure handling of client information and comply with UK GDPR standards. Our team combines technical skill with a passion for preserving piano heritage, balancing practicality and sentimentality in every service.
