Your Local Church in Eltham, London
Eltham Green Community Church has been a cornerstone of the Eltham community since 1975, offering a welcoming and inclusive space for worship, fellowship, and community engagement. Our church was founded as a house fellowship and has grown into a vibrant, family-oriented congregation that values both spiritual growth and local outreach. We prioritise informal yet meaningful worship, weekly Life Groups for deeper connection, and community initiatives like Fresh Ground Coffee House and family-focused activities. Our leadership team, with decades of combined experience, guides us in fostering a church culture rooted in biblical teachings and the active presence of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to serving all ages, from children to seniors, through tailored programmes and a strong emphasis on community care. Our mission extends beyond Sunday services, encouraging members to engage in missional living and support initiatives like the Greenwich Foodbank. With a heritage of adaptability and a focus on modern discipleship, we aim to be a beacon of faith and service in Royal Greenwich.

Services
Worship Services
Our Sunday gatherings feature open worship with singing, prayer, and biblically grounded messages. We prioritise a welcoming atmosphere where visitors and members connect over tea and coffee before and after services. The Holy Spirit's active presence guides our time together, with children and youth attending age-appropriate groups during the main message.
Community Groups
Weekly Life Groups meet in homes and at our building to foster deeper relationships through worship, Bible study, and mutual support. These groups focus on spiritual growth, practical application of scripture, and community outreach. They provide opportunities for both established members and newcomers to build meaningful connections and explore faith together.
Fresh Ground Coffee House
Our caf serves locally roasted coffee, fresh food, and a welcoming environment for locals. Open Wednesday to Saturday, it hosts family activities, toddler play sessions, and live music events. The caf operates as a community hub, blending social enterprise with church outreach to create spaces for connection and hospitality.
Youth & Children Activities
We offer age-specific programmes including Adventurers (under 7), Explorers (8-14), and youth groups. Activities combine fun, learning, and spiritual development through games, crafts, and Bible teaching. Older teenagers participate in main services, ensuring a seamless transition into adult church life while maintaining dedicated support structures.
Food Club
This initiative provides affordable, high-quality food to local families for a 1 annual membership. Members receive weekly food bags worth 15 for 3.50, reducing food waste while supporting household budgets. The club operates Fridays at our venue, combining practical help with opportunities for social connection among participants.
