St Dominics Presbytery Glasgow
St Dominics Presbytery has served the Bishopbriggs community since its establishment in 1973. Located in the Woodhill area of Glasgow, our parish supports approximately 3,000 Catholics through regular sacraments, spiritual guidance, and community initiatives. Our history began with early discussions in 1966, leading to the appointment of our first Parish Priest, Fr Michael O'Keeffe, in 1973. The church building was completed in 1977 and officially opened by Archbishop Thomas Winning. Over the decades, we have expanded our offerings, including the construction of Fr O'Keeffe Hall in 1996 and celebrating significant milestones such as our Silver Jubilee in 2002. Our dedicated clergy and active parish groups foster a welcoming environment for all, with a focus on faith, education, and community support.

We provide essential sacraments including Baptism, Confession, Marriage, and Funeral services, guided by experienced priests and lay ministers. Our parish groups, such as the Bereavement Group, Senior Citizens Club, and Union of Catholic Mothers, ensure there are opportunities for all to engage and contribute. We maintain strong safeguarding practices aligned with national standards, ensuring the safety and dignity of every individual. Through our commitment to St Dominic's values of prayer, Scripture study, and preaching, we strive to be a beacon of faith and service in Glasgow.

Baptisms
We conduct infant baptisms after parental consultation and preparation classes. Our sacramental practice follows Catholic tradition with at least one practicing Catholic godparent required. Baptisms typically occur during or after the 12noon Sunday Mass.
Confessions
Confession services are available immediately after weekday Masses and Saturdays from 4:30-4:50pm. Priests offer spiritual guidance and absolution through this sacrament of healing, with flexible appointment options available upon request.
Weddings
Catholic wedding ceremonies require at least six months' notice for spiritual preparation and logistical arrangements. At least one party must reside within our parish. Our priests guide couples through vow exchanges and sacramental blessings in our church.
Funerals
We provide compassionate funeral services with immediate priest consultation upon death. Our rites include vigil prayers, funeral Masses, and graveside committals, following Catholic traditions while respecting family wishes for deceased parishioners.
