Stopsley Baptist Church - Faith, Community & Transformation
Stopsley Baptist Church is an extended family of believers committed to growing and being transformed through Jesus Christ while sharing the Christian message within our community and beyond. Our mission focuses on three core areas: Connecting Generations through faith development for all age groups, Practising Justice through racial equality initiatives and environmental stewardship, and Building Communities via our unique Beacon groups that foster meaningful relationships and outreach.

With a heritage of service in Luton, we operate local projects like the Community Garden and Foodworks while supporting global ministries across six continents. Our approach combines traditional worship with contemporary engagement, offering spaces for spiritual growth, practical support, and cross-cultural partnerships that reflect Gods inclusive love.

Each Beacon maintains unique characteristics while following our church's core values of discipleship and service.
Environmental Stewardship
Through our Eco-Church program, we implement practical environmental measures including solar energy, waste reduction, and community gardening. Our initiatives combine faith-based motivation with measurable sustainability goals, aiming for the Silver Eco-Church award through building improvements and lifestyle changes.
Global Missions
We support cross-cultural partnerships across six continents through prayer, funding, and personnel deployment. Our global ministry teams work in areas including church planting, discipleship training, and community development, maintaining long-term commitments to overseas communities while welcoming diverse cultures locally.
Community Support
Our SBC Foodworks and Community Garden projects address local needs through practical assistance and social connection. These initiatives provide essential resources while creating spaces for relationship-building, reflecting our belief that faith is best practiced in community contexts that address both material and spiritual needs.
