Garstang Free Methodist Church
We are a diverse Christian community dedicated to building meaningful relationships with God and one another while serving our local area. Our mission focuses on fostering community, belonging, and hope through faith in Jesus Christ. With members from various backgrounds and generations, we aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. Our services blend traditional hymns with contemporary worship to engage all age groups. We actively participate in community outreach projects and partner with local organisations to address practical needs.

As Evangelical Christians, we uphold the Bible as God's Word and believe in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Through Sunday services, midweek groups, and special events, we provide opportunities for spiritual growth and connection. Our 'Roots and Branches' sessions offer deeper insights into our beliefs and Free Methodist heritage. We maintain regular office hours for administrative support and pastoral care, ensuring accessibility for all who seek guidance or assistance.

Services
Sunday Worship
Our Sunday worship services combine traditional hymns with contemporary music to create engaging spiritual experiences. The morning service begins at 10:45am with a warm welcome and opportunities for fellowship. The evening service at 7pm offers a different format while maintaining our core focus on celebrating Jesus' teachings. Both services include Bible-based messages and opportunities for community connection.
Youth Groups
We provide age-specific programs for children and young people from Reception age through to young adulthood. Kids Klub caters for Reception-Year 4, Connect serves Years 5-7, and our Young Adults Group supports those over 20. These groups combine fun activities with age-appropriate spiritual development and peer support in a safe environment.
Life Groups
Our midweek Life Groups offer opportunities for deeper connection and spiritual growth through shared experiences. These smaller gatherings provide space for discussion, prayer, and mutual support. Groups meet in various locations including Stanley Place and Mather Avenue, with flexible timing to accommodate different schedules and needs.
Community Projects
We actively engage in local community initiatives that address practical needs while demonstrating Christian values. Our projects work alongside other agencies to support vulnerable individuals and families. This includes the Welcome Cafe, parenting resources, and partnerships with local organisations to strengthen community bonds and provide practical assistance.
Pastoral Support
Professional pastoral care is available through scheduled office hours and appointments with our clergy team. We offer confidential support for personal challenges, spiritual questions, and life transitions. Our 'Roots and Branches' information afternoons provide deeper understanding of our beliefs and history, with opportunities to meet our pastors and ask questions.
