Welcome to Allington Baptist Church
Allington Baptist Church was founded in 1994 to serve the growing Allington district, beginning in a medical centre before moving to our current site in Maidstone. Our history reflects God's faithfulness through community engagement, strong Bible teaching, and diverse ministries. We are led by Senior Pastor Martyn Colley and a team of elders, with affiliations to the Evangelical Alliance and local churches. Our mission focuses on worship, love, and witness through Scripture-based sermons, vibrant congregational activities, and outreach programs for all ages.

We prioritise transparency in leadership, evidenced by our 30-year track record of hosting baptisms, communion services, and community events. Our commitment to discipleship is demonstrated through weekly home groups, youth clubs, and prayer meetings that have engaged local families since our inception.

Services
Sunday Worship
Our weekly Sunday worship service at 10:30am features modern music, Scripture readings, and a 25-30 minute sermon based on biblical texts. The service lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes communion on the last Sunday of each month. Creche facilities are available for infants and toddlers during most services, with age-specific activities for primary and secondary school children.
Children's Programs
We offer age-appropriate activities for children from infancy to 18 years, including Searchlight for primary school children and GRID discussion groups for secondary students. Our youth club operates Fridays during term time for Years 6-9, combining games, music, and faith exploration. All programs follow safeguarding protocols and include Bible-based teachings adapted for different developmental stages.
Home Groups
Four local home groups meet weekly for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These include daytime women's and men's study groups, as well as evening congregational meetings. Groups follow structured study materials while maintaining flexibility for personal sharing and community support, with special focus on building relationships during monthly social events.
Prayer Meetings
Regular prayer opportunities include Saturday morning gatherings at church, Tuesday evening Zoom sessions, and monthly corporate prayer meetings. Specialised prayer groups focus on Israel, revival, and youth ministry, with additional quiet prayer times available through our website calendar. All sessions welcome participants to share prayer requests and engage in guided intercession.
Women's Ministry
Our women's ministry creates space for spiritual growth through varied activities at different times and locations. Programs combine Bible study with social events to foster friendships and faith development. The ministry particularly focuses on supporting women through life transitions while maintaining strong connections with the wider church community.
