Wigan & Leigh College is the only General Further & Higher Education College in the towns of Wigan and Leigh, serving a population of over 300, 000. The College goals and to be inclusive and we're proud of the equality of opportunity which is demonstrated in the breadth and range of our provision. Around 12, 000 people choose to study at the College and their requirements are at the middle of everything we supply. Our Management Centre and Business Networking Academy supply training and other services for individuals and businesses.

Mental Health Support
read moreA programme of events is planned each year to educate young people about their health and the importance of looking after it. The College also engages an external Counselling service to widen the support offer from the mental health tutor service we provide internally and to support the most vulnerable students when they need it. Students can access the counselling service through the Student Liaison Team, Safeguarding Team and Mental Health Support Tutors at College.

Our world-class facilities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, athletics stadium, 3G AstroTurf pitches and indoor sports hall. Located at Leigh College, which is situated at Leigh Sports Village, is a fantastic opportunity to study Sport, Sports Coaching and Sports Science in the multi million pound facilities. Our expert tutors are professionals within this industry and hold the highest qualifications in their field.
