George Ambrose Wheatcroft OBE opened his 1st practice in 1st floor rooms at 72 Spring Bank, Hull. The practice flourished and through the years other optometrists joined Mr Wheatcroft and further addresses were added in the area. Currently there are three practices, two in Hull and another in Ashby, Scunthorpe. Eye examinations are carried out by other optometrists and all the practices are staffed by highly skilled dispensing opticians.
