Stevenson Memorials
Funeral Services in Burnley, Lancashire
After serving his apprenticeship as a monumental mason in Aberdeen, followed by a period of seasonal working in Barre, Vermont, USA, Alexander Robertson returned home in 1876, and with savings he had gained from working within the States, joined forces with another mason, Mr Gray, and set up their own stonecutters business. The Robertson and Gray partnership worked out of St Clair Street, which ran between King Street and West North Street.

About Us
read moreWe are a family run business established since 1876 and we are one of the largest manufacturers of granite products in Great Britain. We are also one of the major retailers in the country, having twenty outlets throughout Scotland and ten in England. We specialise in the supply of memorials to individual requirements and as members of the National Association of Memorial Masons we abide by a strict code of conduct to produce quality work at reasonable cost. We own a substantial manufacturing facility where skilled craftsmen take time to mason, polish, carve and letter memorials using a combination of modern machinery and traditional hand methods, in what remains a very labour intensive manufacturing process.
