read moreChildren of all ages are very welcome to this service. There is a 'Beacon Club' for children 5 years and upwards to encourage their spiritual deveopment. All the leaders and helpers are DBS checked. There is also a Children's Corner with play and artwork material to keep children of all ages amused along with books explaining the Holy Communion Service. Quarterly, in January, April, July and October, we will have a special service of Holy Communion devoted to the Wholeness and Healing Ministry at 10.00 am.

But he was no ordinary man. He was both God and man and because of that he overcame death and rose again on the third day. His death (which he underwent in order to save us from our sins) and resurrection (which gives us the hope of eternal life) are at the very heart of the Christian faith.

read moreOur Re-ordering Project has now been completed, and our church now looks even more beautiful than ever. It is also more flexible in its layout and suitable for a wider variety of events and meetings. The project has taken much longer than we originally expected due to a number of issues beyond out control. But the end result has been well-worth waiting for. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed financially towards making this happen. Without your support - whether through making donations, attending our concerts and other events, or purchasing a pew - It could not have happened.

read moreThe Friends of St. Mary Magdalene is an organisation which is separate from the church itself, whose aim is to raise money to help protect the fabric of our beautiful ancient Parish Church. It sets out to achieve this through a variety of fund-raising events throughout the year as well as through the generous donations of members. Membership of 'The Friends' is open to anyone who supports its aims. Becoming a member of 'The Friends' is an excellent way of being in touch with, and supporting, our Parish Church if you do not live locally but have an interest in maintaining Gillingham's 'Church on the Green'.

The group contact is Michael Harris who can be contacted at 25th@gillinghamscouts.org.uk or on 07581 580536. Gillingham Green PACT Group holds public meetings in our church thoughout the year. This gives local people the chance to raise matters concerning them with Kent Police, Medway Council, etc. We also organise Charity and Community events in the church and around the area throughout the year.
