Acupuncture & Acupressure in Bournemouth, Dorset
I graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Warwickshire, where I studied Five Element Acupuncture, in 1997 and then went on to train for a further year at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, where I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the years since I graduated I have worked in Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire and, since settling in Bournemouth in 1999, I have set up an founded practice, mainly through word of mouth.

Our fifth and final attempt was a freebie from the NHS so I felt I had to go through with it again, but I had no confidence at all that it would be successful. However, this time my husband and I decided to give acupuncture a go alongside the process, as we had heard that it could significantly increase your chances of success. Yeah right! I mean, how could sticking needles into your body help make a baby for goodness sake?

You will be asked about your current symptoms and any treatment you have received so far, your medical history and that of your close family, your diet, digestive system, sleeping patterns and emotional state. Once enough information has been gathered to determine the likely cause of your problems, the most appropriate treatment can be selected. To discover how the energies are flowing in your body, you will have the pulses taken on both wrists (there are twelve altogether), and their quality, rhythm and strength will be noted.
