Roedean School
Private School in Brighton, East Sussex
Open sea, a dramatic sky and the distant horizon: Roedean's ethos comes from its stunning location overlooking the English Channel. Despite having achieved the finest A Level results for five years in 2009, Roedean is not driven by a one-dimensional hunt for academic glory. Instead, we trust that the job of great independent schools is to evolve the spirit, values and personal personalities of the students. Roedean is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3-18 and for boys aged 3-11.

About Us
read moreRoedean School was founded in 1885, to provide 'a thorough physical, intellectual and moral' education with 'as much liberty as is consistent with safety'. The founding Lawrence sisters believed that girls deserved an education which was at least as good as boys had. 130 years ago, this challenged perception, and this is exactly what they intended. This founding vision continues in the School. Roedean provides a distinctively academic, high-quality, all-round education, within a caring and friendly community in a wonderful coastal setting.
