read moreGraham School of Dance runs regular Dance and Musical Theatre Workshops at their dance school studios in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, as well as Summer Schools periodically. For many courses, pupils may bring along their friends - they do not always have to be learning at the dance school. The youngest groups age 4 - 6 take part in workshops which include Musical Theatre, Drama, Singing and Commercial / Street Dance. Middle School and Seniors are offered a variety of Workshops and Masterclasses, taken by invited Guest Teachers such as current West End performers and/or leading professionals and dance teachers (including those currently teaching at Dance Colleges and in professional companies) - they offer classes in currently taught genres, in virtuosity and technique, audition technique and preparation as well as Q and A sessions.

Dance pupils perform at local school fetes and have danced in aid of the The Alzheimer's Society and the hospital work of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. We were also proud to be involved in the Helen Rollason Charity Hair & Fashion Catwalk Event held at Leventhorpe School in 2016.

Dance lessons range from RAD Classical Ballet classes and ISTD Tap, Modern Theatre and Jazz classes, to free-work Contemporary Dance, Commerical and Street Dance. GCSE Dance is offered as an early option too, as well as extra tuition by invitation for Gifted and Talented children. Our popular 'Baby Ballet' classes for our youngest pupils include Melody Bear and Nursery Ballet and Tap.

read moreGraham School of Dance offers highest standard, fun weekly classes in Drama and Musical Theatre in Bishop's Stortford, on the Hertfordshire / Essex borders. Group technique classes include non-syllabus work and pupils may also work individually towards LAMDA examinations, which are held regulalry througout the year. Drama classes are run for pupils age 6+, at Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels. These classes help build pupils' self-confidence and team working, along with enhancing Performance; they introduce a knowledge and love of the theatre, and develop technique, concentration and memory skills.
