We're an independent charitable trust responsible for preserving and promoting the model village of Port Sunlight, created by William Hesketh Lever for his Sunlight soap factory workers in 1888. The village itself remains open to members of the local community looking for a place to exercise, walk the dog, or be uplifted by the beautiful architecture and well-manicured landscape. Volunteers themselves also gain a lot from their work at the Trust: they develop new skills, make new friends and get to contribute to their local community. Our commitment to supporting and developing our volunteers is outlined in our Volunteer agreement form.
