About Us
read moreWe started out in Mitcham, London in 1983 as the sole practice of Basil Preuveneers. At the time, the notarial profession was dominated by a small number of scrivener notaries who held a monopoly to practice within three miles of the City of London. In 1999 that monopoly was ended and in 2004 Basil formally incorporated his firm and moved to Victoria in central London. Since the move, the firm has thrived to become an established presence in Victoria. Strategically positioned within close distance of the Legalisation Office and most consulates, we are able to offer unrivalled speed and efficiency in processing documents for our clients.

For business clients, in addition to the above, we will need to establish the existence of your company. For UK companies we will complete our own checks via Companies House. In addition to these basic identity checks, further checks may need to be carried out depending on the type of notarisation required. If you are signing on behalf of a company, we will need to see evidence of your authority to do so.
Notary Public information on apostille
read moreWe charge a fixed fee for both services, and handle the process discretely and efficiently in-house. With years of experience dealing with the Legalisation Office at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, we can advise you at the outset if your document can be apostilled, flag up any potential issues and suggest ways to reduce any potential fees. The Apostille is a stamped certificate affixed to UK issued documents by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (commonly referred to as the FCO). The FCO will check the document has been issued by a UK public notary/official and verify whether the signature, stamp or seal is genuine.
Notary Public Legalisation
read moreFor certain countries, after a document has been notarised and/or apostilled, it will need to be attested by their UK consulate. Common countries which require consular legalisation include China, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the UAE and Vietnam. Our location in the heart of London's diplomatic enclave, together with the key contacts built up over the years, means we can offer a fast, discrete and smooth process for getting this done. We charge a fixed fee for handling the legalisation, irrespective of the number of documents you need legalising.
