From a humble beginning in a Potteries park in 1964 as a Sunday League side, Newcastle Town has developed to their current Status as a leading North West Counties League Division I Club. The club has a stadium with a capacity of 4, 000, covered accommodation for 1000, seating for 300, a new clubhouse and a floodlighting system at a cost of J60, 000 which has given Town an A grading that is currently suitable for Unibond League Football. The club emerged in its current format from a merger of two clubs, Parkway Clayton and Newcastle Town, in 1986, when the previously successful Newcastle Town.
