In addition to a great enthusiasm for trauma surgery and fracture care, Mr Acton's main interests lie in surgery of the hip and knee. Having studied the long term survival of implants he is a proponent of uncemented hip replacements and hard bearing (metal on metal (MOM) or ceramic on ceramic) hips. He performs revision hip surgery for failed previous replacements.
