read moreHypnosis is a natural state we all experience occasionally, if you have ever tuned out watching a boring TV program you have experienced a ‘ hypnotic trance ‘. Hypnotherapy is just a way of using that naturally occurring ‘tuned out' state, together with therapeutic suggestions to overcome problems or unwanted behaviours. Whether that be for Weight Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Phobias, Confidence or Addictions to name a few, 4u4life Hypnotherapy in Essex can help YOU. Bit scared of Hypnosis?
About Us
read moreHaving had two boys myself who are now thankfully totally dry (well 99.9% anyway, apart from the odd, deep sleep, non routine, occasion.) I know what it's like to be perched on the side of the bath at 3:30 am trying to hold your eyes open and not fall in. You reach a point of deprived sleep where it really all just becomes a numb dream world. You are constantly worried and stressed about everything, is it all your fault, how will you manage to get them up and ready for school, how will you get to work on time and not drift off to neverland during the meeting this afternoon.
Services
read moreThe way the mind works is a very efficient system. Basically it learns in two ways. Either through a repetitive, continuous response such as when smoking or biting nails or even eating too much. At first it isn't natural, it may be bought on by anxiety or other exceptional circumstances and can even be quite uncomfortable. We are though, consciously doing it, for whatever reason. If we keep on doing it, the same as when we practice something new, eventually we do the task without thinking about it any more.

Reviews and Testimonials
read moreI found the experience of hypnotherapy unusual but quite pleasant and relaxing, and involved some talking therapy too. I found David very easy to talk to and he quickly understood the problems I was experiencing, and established the changes I wanted to make. The results have been remarkable and what surprised me most is how efficient they were. As a bonus, we managed to kick an embarrassing habit I've had for 40 years after just one session! I am continuing with a few more sessions to deal with some ongoing issues but have seen vast improvements already.
Phobias
read moreBelow is some more information about some of the more well known Phobias and Fears, there are many others. It is important for you to understand that whatever you have is an important thing in YOUR life and it doesn't matter what others say. By seeing me you can explain all aspects of your condition to someone who is totally impartial and un-judgemental, whose main interest is in helping you overcome this as quickly and easily as possible. A phobia is an irrational fear of an object/situation etc. that would not normally trouble most people.
Faq
read moreHypnosis is a natural state that we enter into many times a day. Daydreaming, being engrossed in a book or being wrapped up in our own thoughts are everyday examples of the hypnotic state. It is simply a state of awareness where our concentration is internally focused. Almost anyone can be hypnotised as long as they want to be. It is just a form of deep relaxation where you are totally focused. Different people may experience different levels of hypnosis. The level of hypnosis however, does not determine the effectiveness of the treatment.
