We encourage the patient to be involved in his or her own treatment in the form of curative Eurythmy (movement therapy) Art therapy, Rhythmical Massage therapy and counselling. Pre-bookable appointments are available with the doctor up to 2 months in advance (except with Dr Cass McLaughlin wihich is 2 weeks in advance) Call the reception staff between 8:00 and 18:30 to book(phone lines are closed Wednesday afternoon)

read moreWe have a specialist diabetic nurse. All Diabetic patients should attend the surgery annually for a full diabetic check (even if they are being see in secondary care also). Diabetic checks last 30 minutes. Our Chronic Disease Nuse is trained in the management of Asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease). All asthma and COPD patients should attend the surgery annually for a full check. Helios Medical Centre are part of the 4YP program which is aimed at giving easy access to a doctor or nurse for patients between 13 - 24 who wish to discuss any matters in confidence with a clinician.

You should have received a letter regarding the first two (2014). You have not received a letter regarding the third or fourth initiatives. Information sheets about these are available from the surgery and on our website (www.heliosbristol.co.uk) should you require further information. A national system that takes a patients medication and allergies only, so that it is available if a patient is taken ill anywhere else in the country.
