We are a member of the Baptist Union, and therefore form part of Baptists Together. That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.

read moreWe seek to support those called by God to His work during their training and subsequent service. As such we have link missionaries with BMS (Baptist Missionary Society) and partners who work with Agape Ministries, Youth For Christ, Lert Sa Wat (Thailand) and other organisations. We also have a 'Partnership Fund', which is available to people connected to the church for either short-term mission opportunities or something longer-term. read moreJunior Church is for children aged 0-11 years, and is a place where they can hear and learn the Christian message and have the opportunity to grow in their faith. Our vision is to Grow Faith - connecting children to God, Have Fun - making memories and Strengthen Family - providing a place to belong. Creche (0-3). Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times. Our Youth page covers more information about what goes on for Grid and ID. All of our lead volunteers are DBS-checked and have received Safeguarding training.

We are an energetic, lively church made up of people of all ages from all walks of life and from different nations. We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel at home. Our Sunday mornings begin at 10.30 with a prayer and sung worship. You will find families, students, young professionals, retired folk, internationals (anyone and everyone!) at HBC.

read moreWe have a dedicated prayer phone for the church, so urgent prayer requests can be circulated quickly. If you have something you would like to be circulated in this way, please get in touch with the church office. On Sundays, at the end of our in-person service, we also have a dedicated, trained prayer ministry team, who provide prayer support for those who would like to receive this ministry. Prayer is also available for anyone who would like to make an appointment with one of our ministry staff.

read moreWe have lots of brilliant young people at Heaton and there is plenty to get involved in within our youth programme. We love playing games, eating good food, spending time together, but most importantly, we love learning about God and journeying in our faith together. We are passionate about helping young people to encounter and connect with God, find their identity in Him and reach out to the world with His love. Our young people are in two different groups. Years 7-9 are in Grid, whilst Years 10-13 are in ID.

read moreThe church normally meets every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday Service. It helps to get there 10 to 15 minutes early to get a parking spot and then a seat in time for the service to start. However, at the moment we are meeting every Sunday online via Zoom. Whether online or in person, you can expect a warm welcome, lively sung worship, a sermon and a friendly bunch of people gathering to learn more about God. The first part of our service is all-age and then at around 11 o'clock the children and youth would usually leave for their own programme.
