Don't be fooled by the alleyway entrance - it opens out in to a beautiful courtyard, hidden from the hustle & bustle. We've been here in this cosy courtyard setting for thirty years - and since 2016, a new team has been running the show. Owners Rob and Hayley (and their daughter) recently returned to the area from Bristol to take on a new venture in their home town of Hereford.

It's all change for our new kitchen crew this year. We're sticking to what we're good at - small plates and hearty main meals, but the entire menu has been updated with a new, fresh approach and we're so excited to have the opportunity to present our new head chef and the team. The bar team are keen to develop their product knowledge in bringing you the latest drinks from the ever expanding range of brands entering the market, and customer service is of utmost importance.

read moreGilbies is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm (11am on Friday/Saturday), serving all day long. We've recently updated our menu. Whilst we'll still be serving up your favourites such as fish & chips and chilli nachos, there are some amazing new tapas dishes such as chorizo croquettes & crispy pork belly bites. We cater to all dietary requirements and have various vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free dishes and options.
