read moreDOTS Disability is a Community Interest Company, established in 2007 by disabled people, older people and carers. We are the social enterprise arm of the charity Access Dorset. We provide access to consultation with disabled people from across the impairment groups, training and Occupational Therapy services. All of our work is informed by the Social Model of Disability. As a ‘user-led' organisation a minimum of 75% of our Directors are disabled people. As a social enterprise, all of our profits and assets are used to support disabled people.

We provide access to a pan-impairment Consultation Group of disabled people, who we support to engage with organisations at an operational, management or strategic level as required. DOTS has recently undertaken a comprehensive Access Audit for my department and provided it with a Disability Equality Action Plan based on a baseline customer survey, access audits, and an information audit as well as Disability Equality Training.
