read moreYou should wear something you are comfortable with and perhaps a shoe with a small heel (Ladies). No trainers. Bring some water to drink as you might get a little warm. Not at all. DanceRite doesn't discriminate dancers without partners and you are welcome to come along by yourself. We can't promise you will have a partner for the whole evening, however we have helpers on hand and there will be plenty of opportunities to practise your dance skills. We run a rolling 6 week class where the basic steps in Ballroom and Latin is taught.

If you wish to join us, all of these options would be available to you. The ISTD medal series is an invaluable tool to both the dance teacher and student. It offers a very structured environment for the student to progress at an appropriate speed depending on their dance ability. Our absolute belief in the system is that it offers the best dance foundation anyone could ask for and with constant feedback and constructive comments from each exam taken it gives both the student and teacher a safely monitored dance journey.

read moreClasses allow you to learn to dance with other people in a group atmosphere. It is a cost effective method of learning, but does mean that your progress will be similar to that of the group as a whole. Private lessons allow you as an individual or a couple to receive one-to-one tuition with one of our teachers. It is ideal for fast progress and you can select from half or one hour lessons. You can choose to learn to simply dance socially, for medals or for competitions. We teach ballroom, latin american and alternative latin rhythms such as Bachata and Salsa.

read moreSaturday mornings in Basingstoke at 11.30am are great fun! We hold our children's dance class for ages 5 and above for an hour each week. We teach Ballroom, Latin, Charlestone, Rock and Roll and group dances, basically if it's fun we do it! Anuually we hold a children's display and medal presentation for family and friends to come and see what we get upto on a Saturday morning! Throughout the year we hold medal examinations for the children who want to attend, this gives them a structure and something to work towards.
