read moreDancefest began life in 1990 as a festival to celebrate and raise the profile of dance. It has now grown into the main community dance development organisation for Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Dancefest uses the power and joy of dancing to enhance people's lives, enabling everyone to take part in, be inspired by, and express themselves through dance. Dancefest provides a range of opportunities to enable people to take part in dance, including running more than 30 classes a week based in a wide variety of venues across both counties, four community performance companies for all ages - including an inclusive company - and a range of projects in schools, colleges, universities, community settings and outdoor sites.

Are the activities of the person taking part in the class limited because of a health problem or disability which has lasted or is expected to last longer than 12 months? If you wish you can give us more detail. Dancefest is aiming to work in line with current child protection guidelines. Participants must be chaperoned to their class and must be collected.

read moreWe're a registered Arts Award Supporter and have a range of activities and opportunities to help you complete your Arts Award at Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We work with young people aged 5-25 within the formal education sector as well offering over 30 weekly classes across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, having three youth companies and leading projects in schools, colleges and universities as well as in community settings, such as residential homes. read moreBig Jigsaw is Dancefest's access and inclusion programme, which aims to challenge, surprise and push boundaries in inclusive dance, working with disabled and non-disabled people of all ages and abilities. We can create bespoke projects for schools and colleges inspired by different themes or curriculum-based activities. Schools can be part of local cluster sharings that Dancefest organises or become part of our larger scale performance projects. As part of its 30th anniversary year, Dancefest and infuseDANCE have been working with lots of people to creatively reimagine different places and spaces, which will result in an outdoor exhibition in Worcester in spring 2021. Now is your chance to get involved and add your photographs and films to be shared at the virtual SEND Dance Festival.
